****IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING TAX RETURNS****

Please insure that when you provide a copy of tax returns and all W2/1099 forms to our office that you black-out the following:

  • First 5 digits of debtors’ social security number
  • Entire name & entire social security number of children
  • Banking account numbers and routing numbers

TFS Payments

Our office is now set up to accept payments from TFS. The link to TFS’s website is as follows: https://www.tfsbillpay.com/. Please note that the Trustee’s office just accepts payments from TFS. If you (or your client) are having issues, you will need to contact them for support.

TFS MoneyGram – Same Day Payments

TFS is only to be used after approval from the Trustee. TFS will be primarily used for retired or self employed debtors or special cases where you and the trustee agree. Per the local rules if the debtor is employed they are to be on a payroll order unless a motion is filed or an agreement can be reached with the Chapter 13 Trustee.

Electronic Chapter 13 Plan Payments
  • TFS Bill Pay is a third party bill payment service that allows Debtors to send payments to the Trustee electronically.
  • TFS is only to be used after approval from the Trustee.
  • TFS is used for retired or self-employed Debtors or special cases as approved by the Trustee.
  • Local Bankruptcy Rules require a payroll order for cases where a Debtor is employed.  A Motion and Order filed with the Court is needed to waive the requirement for a payroll order.
  • TFS charges a fee for this electronic payment service as indicated on their website.
  • Please note that if you (or your client) are having issues with the TFS service, please contact TFS direct for support at 888-789-2413 or support@tfsbillpay.com.  The Trustee does not have access to update or control TFS accounts set up by Debtors.

Address Changes

It is the responsibility of each Debtor to inform his/her attorney, the Bankruptcy Court, and the Trustee of changes in their personal addresses.  All address changes are to be in writing.  The Trustee is unable to change Debtor addresses over the phone.

Tax Returns / Tax Refunds

ALL tax returns should be redacted PRIOR to being sent to the Trustee’s office.

  • Redact First Five Digits of debtors’ and co-debtors’ social security number
  • Redact ALL Social Security numbers of dependents
  • Redact ALL bank account and routing numbers
  • Redact the names of ALL minors and dependents

Please indicate your Chapter 13 case number on your document(s) and payment(s) prior to submitting them to the Trustee’s office.

Mortgage Claims

Mortgage servicing changes and mortgage payment changes MUST be filed with the Bankruptcy Court.  The Trustee’s office cannot make changes on a mortgage claim unless the servicing documents or the payment change information is properly filed Bankruptcy Court.

Please note that the Trustee cannot provide a breakdown of interest and principal paid on your mortgage claim. You will need to contact your mortgage creditor directly for that information.

Refund Requests

Debtors who wish to request a refund must fill out a request form and provide all supporting documents.

The form and all documents should be emailed to the case analyst assigned to your case AND to your attorney.

Refund requests that do not contain supporting documents will not be processed.

Vehicle Purchase Request

Debtors who wish to purchase a vehicle while in Chapter 13 must fill out a request form and provide supporting documents from the lender. The request form and all documents should be emailed to the case analyst assigned to your case AND to your attorney.

The documents must include the following: amount of financing requested, proposed monthly payment, interest rate, and length of loan.

Please note that the Trustee will also need the most recent pay stubs from each Debtor to verify current income.
